Bubble Bubble…
I don’t know about you guys but I really love Prosecco. It’s definitely cheaper than Champagne (gotta stick to that budget!), a little lighter, little sweeter, and pairs perfectly with brunch. Speaking of brunch I had a ton of peaches and strawberries leftover and I didn’t want the summer produce to go to waste. I still can’t believe it’s September and summer is almost over. Sigh… So I had a bunch of friends over this past weekend and made these delicious strawberry peach drinks. The glasses didn’t stay full for long as these are so light and refreshing. Perfect for hot days and all BBQs you will be going to this weekend. Anyways back to the recipe…
Prosecco is great on its own but it is even better when you add in fresh fruit. Strawberries give the Prosecco a nice sweet touch and the peaches just up the flavor levels. One of my favorite liquors is St-Germain. It is made from elderflowers and insanely delicious. If you haven’t had St-Germain go to the store now and make this drink! Let me know what you guys think! Happy Labor Day Weekend!!
Ingredients *This recipe is per drink. One bottle will provide many refills 🙂
- 1 bottle of Prosecco (I really like LaMarca)
- 1oz St-Germain
- 1 peach, sliced thinly
- 1 cup strawberries, a few extra for garnish
- Mint sprigs
- Champgane Flutes
Directions
- Muddle the strawberries in a small bowl but don’t completely smash them.
- Add about one teaspoon of the strawberry mixture to your flute.
- Add a couple slices of peaches
- Pour in the St-Germain
- Top off with Prosecco
- Garnish with strawberries and mint. Enjoy!
*A couple of notes—> I like to put my glasses in the freezer so they are nice and frosted to keep the drinks cold. Also I do the same with the fruit.
