You guys I am so excited to tell you about Natsumi Tapas, a Japanese-Italian fusion restaurant I recently checked out. It’s such a cool, sleek restaurant. It has modern decor and a separate lounge/bar area from the rest of the restaurant. I know when you first here Japanese-Italian fusion you are quite intrigued. This isn’t the usual mix but it so works! The menu has all the traditional sushi but also has a huge menu of hot and cold tapas. There are so many different delicious tapas to try it’s hard to pick. You will see all sorts of creative items like sashimi tacos, which are my favorite, and a variety of sushi and tataki.
The sashimi tacos were so fresh and the taco shell gave it the perfect amount of crunch. I had the opportunity to try all the different types of tataki and they were honestly all delicious. There is also a meatball trio which is super tasty. Hubs really enjoyed this one. Also if you are a fan of dumplings you need to try the blue crab dumplings. They have different ones but these were my favorite. The sushi rolls were all really good, flavorful, and a decent size too. I hate when you get a roll and it’s tiny and not satisfying. So many yummy ones on the menu I couldn’t decide which ones to pick. You really can’t go wrong with any of them. Plus the rock shrimp appetizer with a spicy sauce was a perfect starter.
The menu is extensive and there really is something here for everyone. Hubs and I had a great time at Natsumi Tapas for a date night and the service was fantastic. They really pride themselves in providing good food and service to the customers. It really is a great spot for a date, going out with friends, or even out with your family for dinner. Definitely check them out the next time you are looking for a restaurant in NYC. Oh and don’t forget to order one of the specialty cocktails from the bar. The drinks are soooooo good….a little too good maybe lol.
Check out all the delicious food and photos of this great restaurant 🙂
