Baby D…

Where has the time gone you guys?! I really can’t believe Dimitri is 6 months old. The first couple months went at a normal pace but the last few have completely flown. He is such a good baby to be very honest and we are loving everyday with him. The hardest part in the beginning was the lack of sleep. We were lucky that he was sleeping 4-5 hour stretches at night after only a week and a half. He was getting breast milk and formula so this kept him full longer and gave us all more time to sleep.
When he was born they gave him formula in the hospital because my milk supply didn’t come in for several days. When we came home from the hospital we kept giving him formula because he was hungry and there was no other option until my milk came in. We had a very difficult time with breastfeeding and my supply dropped after 6 weeks. So formula was ultimately the choice for us and I don’t think there is anything wrong with that. Formula has come a long way and has complete nutrition through a baby’s first year. Enfamil Enspire was what we switched to after we came home.
Enfamil…
So a little info on Enfamil. The mission has always been to nourish the world’s children for the best start in life. Enfamil Enspire is a formula that brings together immune and brain building benefits. It has two revolutionary ingredients: lactoferrin, which supports immune health, and MFGM (milk fat globule membrane), which supports brain development. Enfamil Enspire is a milk-based infant formula specially designed to support baby’s growth, eye development, immune system, and gut health. I really like that it has probiotics in it since Dimitri has had quite a bit of reflux and they are designed to support immune health. If you have been thinking about making a switch to formula or are considering what formula to use this is a great starting point. All kids are different and you figure out what works as you go start to go through the daily routine.
Now he is eating some solids and it’s been really fun to help him develop his palate and see him enjoying all the new flavors. I’ve enjoyed making all of his food and it really is easy. I will have some recipes and tips on making homemade food soon. Have a great week everyone! If you have any questions leave me a comment 🙂
