Is almost the end of the first month of 2015…how are you doing on those resolutions you set for yourself? Feel like you are starting to slack off a bit? (I’m raising my hand here) I’m sitting here in my favorite spot at home trying to get organized as we speak. Don’t be too hard on yourself we all tend to slack a bit. What’s important is getting right back on track with whatever it is you have set for yourself to accomplish in the new year. I need daily reminders of the goals I have set for myself because I tend to get discouraged and slack off easily. (Anyone else feeling this way?) Some of these reminders are pictures on my bulletin board of the places I want to travel to this year, the bikini I want to look great in by summer is lying on top of my dresser, and the empty jar on my desk I plan on filling with money 😉 No matter what the goal is keep at it! You have set your mind to do it, so just remind yourself of that goal and why it is important to you.
Being healthy is a huge goal for many people so here is 10 EASY ways to help keep that resolution!
- Drink more water! This is hard for many people mostly because they don’t like the taste. Try getting a bottle with an infuser in the middle so you can add lemon, mint, cucumbers, strawberries, basically any fruit to give it some more flavor and will be more enjoyable to drink. My personal fav is lemon and fresh mint 🙂
- Eat healthier by having healthier snacks! It’s a simple switch out from junk food that gives you nothing nutritionally and no energy during that 2pm witching hour. Try KIND Bars and Nourish Snacks! The Pomegranate Blueberry Pistachio is delicious!
- Be more organized! We all say we will be more organized this year but after a month we start slipping and we forget things. If you havent’t gotten an organizer yet, get one! A cute one like this from Kate Spade will make you want to write things in it all the time. This is good for your overall health by not being stressed out!
- Resolve to cook twice a week! Here are 25 amazingly healthy crockpot recipes that are full proof!
- Exercise more! This is hard for all of us but I know you can find 30 minutes a day. Try a yoga, spin, or barre class near you or do a workout at home. My favorite at home workout is this yoga one and these awesome body challenges.
- Get more sleep! This is soooo hard especially for me since I am always up late doing work, but I have started setting an alarm 30min before the time I actually want to be in bed so I can do all those pre-bed routines earlier and be in bed at a decent hour. This sleep machine has been a huge help too.
- Try a detox tea. This is great to rid your system of all the unwanted stuff without running to bathroom every 5 seconds 😉 I love the lemon flavor!
- Get a new scented candle in your bedroom. A lavender or eucalyptus candle will relax you after a long day. This eucalyptus mint is my absolute favorite one. I always stock up when its on sale.
- Invest in a new pair of sneakers. You plan on working out so might as well have a good pair of shoes to support you and look cute at the same time. I got these Adidas sneaks (which are awesome by the way!) for Christmas and they are on sale now for $69.99!
- Take a relaxing bath. It has been proven baths help to relax you, detox your skin, help with muscle pain, and overall mental well being. Add 1/2 a cup baking soda and a cup of epsom salts for a great bath. These organic bath bombs are also really great and a great gift too!
